When we were approached to build this contemporary retreat, the owners wanted an oasis away from their busy jobs. A calming influence to come home to.

The entire home was remodeled. New wood floors run throughout. We opened up the wall between the kitchen and living room, and added a window looking out at the trees. Skylights help bring in more natural light.

The desire was for a clean, linear look in the kitchen. Ample storage, and the ability to keep things hidden would help keep the tranquility of the space. The island features a downdraft cooktop and separate ovens,  removing the need for an overhead ventilation hood.  A Spekva solid wood counter separates the kitchen from the adjacent living room.

His and her master baths, each with their own distinct style. Soft edges and skin tone colors create an inviting, relaxing area for her.

And for him, a more masculine treatment suited him nicely.
